Run at Your Own Risk Disclaimer
By participating in our meetups, you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk. Urban Run Club is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or health issues that may occur during or as a result of the run. We recommend that you consult with your healthcare provider before participating, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions. Ensure you are physically fit and able to participate safely. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities—run responsibly and enjoy!
To ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone, please follow these rules:
-
Respect Everyone: Treat all members with respect and kindness. Our community thrives on positivity and mutual support.
-
Stay to the Right: Always keep to the right side of the trail to allow others to pass on your left.
-
Announce Your Passing: When overtaking someone, announce your presence with a friendly “On your left” to avoid startling them.
-
Single File in Narrow Areas: In narrow or crowded sections of the trail, run, jog, or walk in single file to ensure everyone’s safety.
-
Yield to Others: Give way to faster runners, cyclists, and pedestrians. Be courteous and share the trail.
-
Leave No Trace: Carry out all trash and belongings. Respect nature and leave the trail as you found it.
-
Stay Aware: Stay alert for other trail users, wildlife, and any potential hazards. Keep your environment in mind.
-
Leash Your Pets: If you bring a pet, ensure they are on a leash and under control at all times.
-
Encourage and Support Each Other: Be positive and encouraging to fellow members. Stick together, especially during challenging moments, ensuring that everyone feels supported and no one is left behind.
-
Pace Yourself: Choose the appropriate group (walk, jog, run) based on your fitness level and comfort.
-
Stay Hydrated: Bring a water bottle and stay hydrated, especially during hot weather.
-
Arrive on Time: Be punctual for meetups to ensure smooth coordination and group unity.
-
Follow Local Laws: Adhere to all local laws and regulations while participating in group activities.
-
Safety First: Prioritize your safety and the safety of others. If you notice any hazards, report them to the group leaders immediately.
-
Stay Together: Don’t leave anyone behind. If someone is struggling, offer support and stay with them until they are comfortable.
-
